The Burning Call: Embracing Both Commissions
There is a fire in our hearts, a passion ignited by the One who orchestrates all things. His love is relentless, His tears mix with the roaring intensity of His infinite everythingness. Words fail to capture the depth of what He feels for this earth and His people.
How can we be compelled by Love yet blind to suffering? How can we be moved with compassion yet miss what compassion is calling us to do?
His eyes scan the whole earth—every last hair on every last head. They are His. And now, He is stirring, activating, and awakening His children for the people of the earth. The mothers, fathers, sisters, and brothers who do not yet know Him. The suffering ones are in His spotlight. He is the Shepherd who always goes after the lost sheep. It is His very nature, His voice calling, His heart longing for them to come home.
We stand on the brink of something significant—another move of God. He is always doing more. But what He has already established remains our foundation, the bedrock upon which everything else is built. We cannot move forward into the next without firmly standing on the "first-things-first" of His Kingdom. Ignoring this can make it difficult to pass on what He is doing from generation to generation.
This is the heartbeat of goFam Ministries—to champion both the First Great Commission and the Second Great Commission as equally vital to God’s plan.
The First Great Commission: “Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth and subdue it.” – Genesis 1:28
The Second Great Commission: “Go and make disciples of all nations...” – Matthew 28:18-20
These two commissions are not in competition but in partnership. When Jesus gave us the Second Great Commission, He was not canceling the first. Yet, in our fervor to reach the lost, we sometimes neglect the very first mission God gave humanity—to cultivate, multiply, and establish His Kingdom culture within our own families.
As we passionately pursue the Father’s heart for the nations, He reminds us of a crucial truth: as much as He extravagantly loves the lost, He loves you.
He would give everything for you—He already has. And in that same love, He gave us the First Great Commission not as a burden, but as a foundation for our families. His desire is not for us to chase after the lost while our own families suffer in neglect.
He has provided a way to fulfill both commissions together. This is generational living at its finest—parents paving the way with spiritual breakthroughs so their children don’t have to fight for the same ground. Children valuing the wisdom of their parents, avoiding the heartbreak of unnecessary detours.
Inheritance is the highest way to receive something—and sometimes the hardest way to accept it.
This is the passion that fuels goFam Ministries. The message He has given us is a key part of His plans for the nations of the earth, and your family has an enormous role to play. Now is the time to change the culture of the Christian family so that all the nations of the earth will be blessed!
Are you ready to walk in the fullness of both commissions? Let’s do it—together!
